Thousands of residents in Moyo District took to the streets to protest against the arrests of Ugandan nationals by South Sudanese soldiers. The arrests are the latest in a series of similar incidents that have characterised the long running border dispute.
The protesters burnt a church and several grass thatched huts belonging to South Sudanese nationals living in Uganda.
The Obongi County MP Hassan Kaps Fungaroo and other district leaders have called on the government to resolve the dispute before it spirals out of control.
