Land locked Uganda urgently needs a Maritime Policy that should spur Public Private partnership ventures for water transport.

At least 250 Billion shillings are needed immediately to support the supply and operation of 9 ferries according to officials in the Works and Transport Ministry. This should harness the potential of Uganda’s water ways for development.
