Lira District and the rest of Northern Uganda were traditionally known for growing crops like simsim, sorghum and millet.

Lira District and the rest of Northern Uganda were traditionally known for growing crops like simsim, sorghum and millet. But this is now changing, with many farmers taking to growing bananas and chili. NTV’s Ivan Kimuli Kigozi visited several farmers in Lira District who have experimented with these crops and they have no regrets since they are making more money.
